Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology

Educational objectives

The specialization in Clinical Psychology aims to understand and treat mental disorders, develop explanatory models, and address these disorders through psychological methods. Its teaching is based on various theoretical approaches, training in research methodology in this field, and mutual clinical experience gained in the field.

This specialization aims to :

  • Provide students with professional competence in the field of clinical and pathological psychology.
  • The program includes theoretical, methodological, and technical training tailored to the requirements of the profession.
  • This configuration allows students to meet various functions of the specialist clinician and intervene in diverse organizational and humanitarian contexts with multiple theoretical references.
  • Provide students with theoretical and clinical knowledge in the field of psychopathology and clinical psychology.
  • Offer information on the objectives and specific issues in the Algerian context.
Acquired Skills

This field offers the opportunity to :

  • Train executives in clinical psychology qualified to work in various sectors.
  • Allow students to apply the knowledge acquired during their course.
  • Enable students to understand the psychological data of the phenomena presented to them.
  • Give students the ability to analyze psychological problems and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Provide students with the ability to adapt to various fields of work (acquire the ability to work academically and research or work in various institutions and quickly adapt to their work environment).
  • Enable students to have communicative skills that allow them to work in a multidisciplinary team (general medicine, psychiatry).

The Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology allows students to pursue postgraduate studies at the Master’s level in disciplines such as health psychology, psychosomatics, criminal psychology, therapeutic and pathological psychology, work and organizational psychology, and clinical pedagogical psychology.

In addition to the possibility of working and practicing as a specialist clinician in the private sector by opening private clinics or working in private clinics within a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of a specialist physician.
